Privacy
This site is run by the Belfast Gophers organisers and hosted by uRadical. It keeps as little about you as it can, and only to run the group. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.
What we keep, and for how long
- Raffle entries: your name and email address, so we can reach you if you win. They are deleted automatically a week after the meet-up ends.
- Talk proposals: your name, email address and the details of your talk, so we can get in touch to schedule it. Only the organisers can see them. They are kept until you ask us to delete them.
- Organisers signing in: the GitHub username of a signed-in organiser, for twelve hours. The site does not keep anything else from GitHub.
- Server logs: each request is logged with its address, the page asked for and your browser's name, to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies
The site uses no tracking or analytics cookies. The only cookies it sets are for organisers signing in: one that lasts ten minutes while GitHub confirms who you are, and one for the twelve-hour session.
Videos
The videos page plays our talks in YouTube's privacy-enhanced players, which set no cookies until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Meetup and other sites
Meet-ups are listed on Meetup, and signing up for one happens there, under Meetup's own privacy policy. The same goes for the other sites we link to, such as YouTube and Slack.
